TEF1 NorCal 2026
E-Bike & E-Moto Category

TEF1 NorCal 2026 is expanding its focus on e-bike and e-moto racing at Sonoma Raceway on Saturday, October 24th.

TEF1 NorCal 2026 is building a stronger E-Bike / E-Moto race category for riders ready to compete on a real motorsports track at Sonoma Raceway. This page outlines the proposed class structure, eligible bike types, registration deadlines, and racer benefits for electric bike, ultralight e-moto, and full-size e-moto riders interested in joining the grid.

Whether you ride a Sur-Ron, Talaria, E-Ride Pro, Stark, Onyx, or another performance electric bike, TEF1 NorCal is your chance to help grow the future of electric two-wheel racing.

WHAT E-BIKES ARE INCLUDED?

This category is intended for riders with performance-focused electric bikes, ultralight e-motos, e-pit bikes, and full-size electric motorcycles.

Examples may include:

Ultralight E-Moto / E-Bike style builds:
Sur-Ron, Talaria, Altis, E-Ride Pro, Arctic Leopard, Zero XE/XB, LiveWire Honcho, Onyx, fat bikes, electric pit bikes, Electric & Co. RTR, P51, Tuttio, Yozuma, Anioki, Bonnell 775MX, and similar bikes.

Full Size E-Moto style builds:
Stark Future, Zero full-size motorcycles, LiveWire, Energica, Alta Redshift, Bonnell, and other higher-power electric motorcycles.

CLASS STRUCTURES

TEF1 is working toward two possible designated bike categories, depending on registration numbers and final race-day participation.

Ultralight E-Moto / E-Bike Class

This class is intended for lower-to-mid power electric bikes, e-pit bikes, fat bikes, and ultralight e-motos.

Target bike range may include approximately 1kW to 25kW, depending on the final class split and participation.

This class may include bikes such as Sur-Ron, Talaria, Altis, E-Ride Pro, Arctic Leopard, Onyx, fat bikes, electric pit bikes, Zero XE/XB, LiveWire Honcho, and similar builds.

Full Size E-Moto Class

This class is intended for higher-power electric motorcycles and larger e-moto platforms.

This may include bikes above 30kW, such as Stark Future, Zero full-size motorcycles, LiveWire, Energica, Alta Redshift, Bonnell, and similar bikes.

Depending on participation and qualifying results, some riders may be moved or invited into a different class for better balance and safer competition.

Combined All-Inclusive E-Bike / E-Moto Class

If registration numbers are not high enough to support separate classes, TEF1 may run a combined e-bike/e-moto class.

This would likely include bikes below 30kW, or higher-powered bikes that can be tuned down to meet the class limit.

The goal is to keep the category competitive, approachable, and safe while still giving riders meaningful track time and a real race-day experience.
